Itinerary

Day 1 – March 5, 2026

Arrive in Cairo. First, transfer to the hotel, then perhaps spend the rest of your day exploring the city.

Day 2 – March 6, 2026

Visit the Sultan Hassan Mosque in Old Cairo, the ancient Citadel and the Alabaster Mosque. Tempt your senses at the Khan el-Khalili bazaar, then spend the rest of your day your way. Optional – Nile Cruise with belly dancing and dinner.

Day 3 – March 7, 2026

Visit the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the tombs of the Two Brothers and of Horemheb. Enjoy lunch at 9 Pyramids Lounge restaurant with a spectacular view of the Pyramids. Then get up close to the Pyramids and the mighty Sphinx with included entry into the Great Pyramid. Tonight, board your overnight train to Luxor.

Day 4 – March 8, 2026

Today, you’ll visit Karnak Temple, and Luxor Temples. Relax on the serene Nile River with a traditional felucca ride.

Day 5 – March 9, 2026

Explore the Temple of Hatshepsut, Deir el-Madina, the Valley of the Queens, the Colossi of Memnon and the Valley of the Kings, including the tomb of Tutankhamun. Optional – evening sound and light Show at Karnak Temple.

Day 6 – March 10, 2026

Explore The Mummification Museum and the Luxor Museum. At noon, travel to El Minya by coach and dine at your hotel this evening.

Day 7 – March 11, 2026

Visit Bani Hassan and Tel Amarna, the city where Nefertiti reigned as Queen, and where she may have also ruled as King. Enjoy lunch on site before driving back to Cairo.

Day 8 – March 12, 2026

Visit The Grand Egyptian Museum, then spend the rest of your day in Cairo your way. This evening, dine your fellow book lovers at Felfela, one of Cairo’s most iconic restaurants.

Day 9 – March 13, 2026

Say farewell to your travel companions before transferring to Cairo airport for your return flight home, filled with fond memories of the treasures you’ve encountered.
